  WV BOP has been made aware that a phone scam is circulating again.We have reports of licensees receiving calls that the caller is an investigator/inspector ofr the Board of Pharmacy and that the individual has discipline on their license.  The caller ID often is the Board's name and phone number.  The Board will NEVER request payment over the phone or in leiu of a complaint/investigation. Please be cautious and keep your personal information protected.

• Reported Fraudulent Prescription

  Be aware of confirmed fraudulent prescription phoned in 8/16/2024 under the provider Robert Wynn. Calling in phenergan with codeine for patient with DOB 12/18/1968 and last name Preston. The prescription has been confirmed with provider to be fraudulent. Please be aware.
